Lecture one - Photographic Culture

Art/Photographic intervention is interaction with a audience, space or venue. In the case of todays lecture we are to create a 'photographic intervention' with Elephant & Castle in London.

We are to explore how we can use photography to bridge a gap between the here and now and the future.

How do we make Elephant & Castle more utopian regarding it's communities, space and atmosphere?

To interact with a community, to make it more utopian, I have to find ways of interacting with it. Do i show the degradation or more positive aspects (if there are any!). Why would i show these ideas? What is the purpose? Am i to inspire change? Change is already happening to E&C through the regeneration program.
